The Right to Declare Rights

The declaration of rights is progress,
the progression of freedoms and protections.
Aim?
A better world.

To declare rights,
creative thought must happen,
through brain action:
The Right to Imagination

As a result of public debates,
humans come up with the idea of a right:
equality, freedom of speech, religion, etc.
This is Ipeople thinking actively.

Making the declaration,
gives the right its power.

We are continuing the declaration process here,
on the Sky of Stars blog and then,
we are raising awareness with Rights Couture.
But today, in the 21st century, it's a grassroots dialogue, a social action,
rather than the typical elite group of officials sitting around a table.

So, what right would you declare?

Okay I have mixed feelings about this one.I think we as citizens of the United States should have the right to invent a right because we should have a voice. Also, we should have the freedom of opinion. At the same time, I think there should be giudelines as to which right's get passed and which right's don't. The reason why there should be guidelines is because if not there would be chaos.

This is an interesting posting, I was actually waiting we could have the opportunity to invent our own right (s).

I have been supporting this right,
its: TPS, (Temporary Protection Status), is a protection that is granted to citizens of countries that are affected by ongoing conflict arming, environmental disaster or other extraordinary and temporary conditions.

Colombian President Santos, must present to Obama including Colombia among countries with temporary protected status TPS in the U.S, to undocumented Colombian people to work legally and send money to their families in Colombian. For them to have a faster recovery, taking into account the state of environmental disaster calamity who is living Colombia.

This one is a real brain teaser, the right to invent rights? Well I can definitely agree with Francisco. We should all be allowed to create our own rights but with certain limitations because who knows what people can come up with. One right I would love which to me is very interesting is the right to have our own personality. I couldn’t find a better name for it but what I mean by it is that many people act a certain way when inside they are the complete opposite. People do this because they are afraid of what society thinks of them. This should change we are all unique and we should show who we really are not someone we are not.

I believe we should have the right to invent rights. People need to feel a form of freedom, and I think this is it.

if I could invent a right.. it would probably be the right to have a free college education. Going to school is very expensive and I think that is why alot of people do not attend college.

& after much consideration.. with all these rumors that the world will end in 2012, if it does end, I wont need to pay back my school loans.

We should all have the right to invent a right. But that it may become a right is another questions. I believe these rights have to be inspected and approved just in case some may be to bizarre for someone to handle. I really have not thought of inventing one but if there was a right, it would be the right to take my dog everywhere I go. I love my sophie...

Everybody should have the right to invent Rights and if I would invent one, it will be the Right to free Health Care, also like Michelle said the right to free college. My kids would probably go for a right to go out whenever they want, especially my son, even when they get bad grades. Laura R.

Inventing rights can lead to the next big revolution for us as a people, as a country, even as a worldwide movement. As long as the creative juices are used for the betterment of us a whole, then I have no quarrels with anyone wanting to offer up a creative right.

Having the Right to Invent Rights is connected to many other rights. If we can think, dream, and imagine then we can invent a right. We need the support of others to establish something officially but we are all human with the same nature so this right should be instinctive and allowed.

I would invent the Right to Act a fool. We live each day so aware of what we are doing and what people might say. For once let’s just act a fool. Be free from criticism; be free from the right way to be to the wrong. For once to be completely free to have a good time, and not care about anything other then a good laugh.

I don't see the need to invent rights that I already own. A right is something that you are born with. Rights should not be put in the hands of law makers. To sum up, I would not invent any right, because we all already have them all.

Has anyone thought about personal rights? Like the right to eat Taco Bell at 2 am. Can't take that away from me.

Terrence is right. We already have all of the rights, so nothing to invent.

I agree with the right to invent rights; when we invent rights we further the human cause. If someone did not invent new rights we would not have all the rights we have today. In addition, even though we are born with certain rights, we are sometimes ignorant to the fact that we have these rights. Gary Norris

Things and places can be sacred and yes they are different for all of us. To me places that allow me to have peace are sacred. We live in such a fast paced life so a place that allows me to slow my thoughts down, relax, think and just be are very sacred. Some example of those places would be my home, church, the beach, and my car.

Human rights are a constant developing concept. If I could invent a right it would be the right to Peace. I know it has been posted as a right here in this blog but I find it of the most important. The right to peace means the right to happiness, right to sacredness, right to choice and so on. People are so not at peace with themselves. In return I feel causes all this pain and harmful choices people make that affect others and the world.

I would love to be able to implement rights but I'll leave it to the experts. As long as there is a right to respect in all aspects, there should be issues. GIL RO

People cannot be given the right to invent their own rights. If the power to invent rights were given to all people then an unnatural balance of authority would be spread all across the world.

I like Nicole's idea of acting a fool. Let people do what they want as long as they aren't hurting anyone or anything. We don't want people frowning upon us for things that we feel like doing. Above it mentioned that in the 18th century, rights where invented but why does it ever have to stop? As time goes by, new rights should be invented and implemented.

We live in a world where we learn from the opinions of others. As we invent rights we can learn from these opportunities.

Rights allow people to do things and express ideas, or feelings and so on. I think people have the best of intentions when inventing rights, but believe they need to be a little more realistic and down to earth when inventing them.

I think we all have the right to invent rights. Without the creative thoughts of people I do not think we would be where we are now. If I could invent a right it would be the Right to Smile. -v.p.

The world is a constantly evolving place, and where there is change there are those who will invent rights to resist change and those who will invent rights to embrace change. If I could invent a right it would be the right to cultivate a global perspective, which some in the world are restricted from.

The right to invent rights is brilliant. Its a stepping stone to changes we want to see in the world. I agree with Francisco. We all should have a voice and with creating new rights, it allows us to do so.

I agree with F.C. that people cannot be given the power to invent rights. That is just a fantasy. We have enough rights, some we do not even know about, there is no need for anymore. I have all the rights I need.

aquintana said...

There is always the need for new rights, because there is always someone preventing or taking away someone else's freedom, or happiness. Times change and so do the things that affect our lives.

We should all have the right to create rights, with only one condition that that right does not affect other people's rights.

With the growing population in the world, I will invent the right to better price for education, food, health and more.

Rights are what keep the world stable, and in an ever changing world inventing new rights are critical. But inventing rights have to come with some restrictions. These new rights have to be logical and able to support its cause. One right I would invent would be the right to kindness. Some people who have been abused mentally or physically have no one to speak out to. Having this right will enable this horrific act to come to an end.

kevin0121 said...

Without The right to invent a new right the world would be in disaster. We would have to live in fear everyday. I would invent a right that has to do with college. Foe example, the right to free food in college.

Pedro said...

It is all right for people other than elite group officials to have a part in making rights. The Right to Invent Rights is up to whoever invents the right. New rights can be made from wherever its origins. P.L

I fully agree with Terrance. I believe the law is in order to keep us from total chaos and restrict us from the wrong doing. I already have all these rights, I have always had them my whole life. To be honest, I would even want some of these rights, such as the trans-humanism thing. It is ridiculous. Very seldom am I restricted from the positive things in life such as knowledge and sleep. Things are just fine.--KB

Who will determine whose rights are right?

Everyone has the right to invent rights. When people come together, they come up with ideas that can better the future. If I could come up with a right, it would be the right to smile. Some people do not have this right for certain dental reasons and etc. We need rights in order to have happiness and order in this world. Inventing gives us the opportunity to express ourselves and our imagination.

I personally do not think we should invent rights because I think we all are born with them already. However I believe that we should exert the rights we already have more often and in a better way that they are already being used.

Of course we need the right to invent rights, because it will protect us from any new threat to our being.

I have to agree with some of the prior post. I definitely AGREE with the right to a FREE education. I do not think that it is fair that if you were born here, in the United States of America you are not entitled to go to school for free, unless you are low income. What about the lower middle families that cannot afford it. We need to go and get student loans to get an education. I find that ridiculous! This would also be my right. As for everyone having a right to create a right, it’s a little iffy. If we do not have some sort of rules everything would be chaotic. Some type of disciple has to be established but taking into consideration others opinions and rights.

We all need human made rights because they help to protect that natural right that we are born with. Many other rights have to be created in order to keep things in equilibrium, that’s why this right is so important.

I agree with Terrance there is no need to invent rights that we already have from the moment we were brought into existance. ALthough these rights may be denied to us by law makers or even secured into a law we should still take into account that we have these specific rights. For instance we have the right to voice our opinion but laws have been formed to limit this right, we cant go into a public place and scream fire when there really isnt a fire. Rights come with responsibilities.

For more than 150 years free men in our countries have had the opportunities to educate themselves, choose their own religions, select their own occupations, accumulate capital and invent better ways of doing things. We should have this right regardless.

I would have to agree with a previous statement about having guidelines. We are a nation that needs order and discipline. It would be glorious to state that we all share in a wonderful world where everyone believes in love, peace and happiness but long gone are those days if they really ever existed to begin with. I do believe in having the right to many things but these rights should all have exceptions and limits. Imagine a person with a mental disorder such as narcissism or social personality disorder answering this question? What would they feel they have the right too? Scary to imagine……

I don't think there are any rights left to invent. They are so many covered on this blog spot.

I totally agree with this right. Even though a right is a born with privilege, not everyone has the same rights. I would support the right for insurance coverage for handicapped people. Some needed therapies are not covered by insurances and are very expensive. I think that what would be rationally acceptable in society and for our own benefit, should be consider becoming a human right. GS

I don't entirely agree with this right, ironically as it seems. I can't imagine what would happen if a criminal were to invent the right to kill, or the right to rape. There should be a limit to the invention of rights. --Rosa F.

This right should be implemented with some considerations and limits as it can cause complications. After all, not everyone has positive creative thoughts. Nor all rights will be made for good. I mean, there are people with bad intentions, take Hitler or Castro for example. – D.T
