Crowdsourcing was first coined by Jeff Howe
in a June 2006 Wired magazine article "The Rise of Crowdsourcing."
Essentially, it means to take advantage of the talent of the public
with an open call to a group of people,
to perform tasks, solve complex problems, or contribute relevant and fresh ideas.
There are four types of crowdsourcing strategies:
crowdwisdom,
crowdcreation,
crowdfunding,
crowdvoting.
I tap crowdwisdom with each blog post.
With the collective intelligence of the commentary,
each right becomes better written
and more well-rounded,
when I harness the power
of the collected genius of
multiple viewpoints
in comments
from
the
group.
I have found that, over and over again,
crowdwisdom helps to complete the creation of each right I write.
And aren't rights supposed to be for the people
by the people?
I declare the Right to Crowdsourcing.
Many, many things could be solved by crowdsourcing.
This is an important right for the future.
