The Right to Expression... Right to Sports

There are so many rights for the Right to Expression,
but the Right to Sports is probably one of the most popular ones.

This right often interconnects with two other rights:
the Right to Body Care
These 2 auxillary rights, being huge by themselves,
bring a lot of power to the Right to Sports.
In certain sports, the Right to Sports intersects with the Right to Art.

I declare the Right to Sports,
as one of many rights of expression.

How do you express yourself through sports?

The right to sport is directly linked to the improvement of the human condition. In order to preserve a healthy body and mind, the body care and sport are essential. The self-expression through the sport help to develop a phisical and spiritual wellbeing. The right to sport helps and contributes to develop qualities such as disipline, integrity, and team work. I don’t express myself through sports because I don’t play sports. But if I did it would definitely allow me to increase my body care which everybody can benefit from. I think I will star playing sports.-MB

Through sports I am able to express my competitive edge; my desire to accomplish a victory. Sport expression is not only expressed through direct involvement; a sports “fan” is just as expressive as a player. Fashion ties into this category, such as sporting team apparel and wearing "pride" colors. In my home we express or right to sports by giving ourselves the right to yell at the television, especially when LeBron James misses his free throws.

I express myself through sports by hiking, cycling and jogging. During the college semester, I do not have much time to "exercise" this right; yet, I understand the importance of one's body and mind for practicing the right to express onself through sports.

Sports are not a form of expression. Sports are capable of expressing an incredibly limited amount of characteristics or attributes - a competitive nature, a desire for a healthy body, and possibly a desire to have fun. While sports - whether watching or playing them, are capable of evoking emotions, they are incapable of expressing any emotion, in any respect. With that said, a healthy body is essential to a healthy mind, and vice versa. Sports are also fun to play, and for some, fun to watch.

Sports.. Are a good way of expressing yourself in soprts. if you do not play sports then its not the same way of expression. I was a cheerleader and even though in some places it is not considered a sport ask any cheerleader and they will tell you it is a sport because of the strenuos activity on the body.

Self-expression is, possibly, the most essential characteristic of being human. I highly enjoy expressing myself through the wonderful sport of road biking. My husband, who does the MS bike ride every year, is by far the most inspiring person in my life. One day I hope to express my love and kindness to humanity, just as he does.

I believe we all seek to fulfill a sense of adrenaline that satisfies our mind, body and soul. The right to sports allows a person to feel a freedom towards finding which sport their talent exceeds in. I feel a reliving sensation whenever I run a few laps and my mind has time to wonder. RR

I never thought of sports as a right. But it is now that I think about it. My sports of preference are softball and spinning. When playing softball I express competition, art form, and skill. And when attend the spinning class I express care to my body by taking care of my cardio. Sports help me release stress among other things and it keeps the mind and body healthy. It should be taught and implemented with this approach in public schools. sometimes children are intimidated by other children's size or accuracy in a certain sport and end up developing insecurities because they do not know they were born with this right. I express myself through sports by showing my passion to win a competition. Sports are the best way to take care of your body because it is something one enjoys. I personally use basketball to let go of anger. Thru sports I show my skills and learn from others as well as to play with others. JLS

Through sports, specifically basketball, I have the right to expression. I express my emotions, determination, competiveness, and physical will to win. We all have the right to sport, which may include the right to being a sports fan even if we don’t play any sports. Sports helps us keep our bodies healthy and in shape. YB.

Since people were able to compete, they have wanted to showcase their strengths and emotions. I believe that the greatest way to express myself is through dance. When I dance, I feel free and passionate. Even though I may not be competing, I do feel that I'm working towards feeling that freedom and passion that I love so much.

I express my integrity through playing sports by either playing fairly or by cheating. My work ethic can also be seen through sports, by seeing how hard i work to compete, or, if i just slack off and not take it seriously. This is a great right that we should feel very lucky to have. dgon4321

The right to play sports is definitely a form of expression. Some people rely on talent while others work very hard to achieve goals in their respective sports. You can get a glimpse into someone’s ego or how calm and serious of a competitor they are. However, sports aren’t for everyone and do not define us. - JH

I believe practicing sport is a good way to express your personality, emotions and feelings. When someone gives their maximum effort for a team, that individual is showing a great attitude and the resilience his personality possesses. The way I express myself through sports is by giving my maximum effort for the team and that way the people can see how I feel about the team and how much I care about its success. IC

For some people, choosing what sport to pursue can be difficult, because they have never really played an organized sport before and aren't sure what they'll most enjoy. They're facing a dilemma, which sports to play and which sports to give up. No matter what your sports dilemma is, you have the right to make the right decision that is beat for you. sports are meant to be fun. if there is a sport you really think you'll enjoy, give it a try. The right to sports is linked to the right to keep healthy. Although some sports do involve contact, the training involved is made to heal and strengthen the body. Without the right to sports, one would not be able to keep healthy and strong throughout day to day activities. VAC

With sports, there is competition
With competition, there is rivalry
With rivalry, there is hate
With hate, there is violence
With violence, there are fans
With fans, there is entertainment
With entertainment, there is money
With money, we fund the sport.
And so begins the unending cycle.

Practicing sports is a way of life. Nowadays I personally feel that its all about the money, regardless of a win or loss. There are those athletes though that give their all, and you can see how they express themselves. The right to playing sports is also about how you win and how you lose. Respect to both losing and winning and no hostility or sore losing. Money should be the plus not the motive. The motive is doing what you like to do and showing people how much you love it. -SC

Ah, what form of expression can possibly deliver so many benefits as is with the right to sports? No other form of expression can deliver the immense amount of physical and emotional satisfaction. To compete in sports provides confidence and euphoria. Certitude is within reach in expressing the right to sports as one has the opportunity to prevail or fail. To face all forms of adversity as with the case of those who compete in sports handicapped. Given this right, we have the right to decide if we will promote and even prolong our existence in the pursuit of good health. MMSEAWOLF

If you have the talent and skill to make a living by playing a game you should have the right to do so. If everyone could they would do the same. JB

I feel that having the right to sport is essential in our growing community. I feel that if we could be more involved in sport as a whole country that there would be everything from less obesity to less crimes. People that play sports usually build a self confidence and instead of feeling the need to protect their egos on the street they could protect it on the court or the field. Also, it is a safer way to relieve negative tension and anxiety from within a person. At least for me, it is a huge stress reliever after a hard day at school or work. LEG

Sports are a huge source of entertainment. Practicing sports is good for your health and also for your soul. It trains you to set up your plan and to achieve your goals. If you do not practice sports, at least watch them. That helps too.

In the sport of bodybuilding, your body is your canvas. Like an artist paints with a brush, the athlete molds his/her body through weight training, cardio, and exercise. It gives the person the opportunity to show others their dedication, motivation, and ability to achieve what others can not. Practicing any sport is physically and mentally challenging, it gives you the right to express to the world, your ability to achieve any goal you set your mind to. -R.K.S.
