The Right to Better Government ... movements and constitutions

Whether it's the new American Dream Movement or the Tea Party,

or any other group searching for better government,

everyone has the freedom in the country of the United States

 to join or create a group,
 acting on a Right to Better Government. 

I declared the Right to Better Government in a recent post.

Newest country: Republic of South Sudan, 2011

Unhappy with the Sudanese government,
South Sudan voted to sucede from North Sudan,
creating a new country in January, 2011.
.A constitution (draft) was declared April 23, 2011.
I wish them all a better life.

Check out how a democratic constitution of 2011(South Sudan)

is so much different

than a constitution written in 1787 (U.S.).
Time and culture makes such a difference.

Notice how many more rights are included.

The Right to Better Government is supported by the Right to Dream.

The Right to Respect ... Better Government

Democracy is the best government that exists in 2011.

Over centuries, it has flourished in various forms.

But it is not perfect.

Can we do better?

Why stop here?

Why not search for an even better system,

maybe striving for "democracy" in its truest form,

for the people by the people?

Organizations such as the Better Government Association in the U.S.
strive for integrity, transparency, and accountability of government,
functioning in a much-needed watchdog role. Great.

But how about re-thinking the system itself,
to achieve these goals of honest, open government?

I find the term better government used in several archived U.S. and British writings
of the late 18th century into the first half of the 19th century.
Why did it desist in English usage?
Have American and British citizens become complacent, maybe?
