The Right to Expression....Simplicity

Simplicity is ease.
Easy, natural.

An example of simplicity.
The Japanese term wabi means understated beauty.
It was first praised in the art of poetry,
then the art of tea,
and developed fully in the concept of Zen.
It implies moderation
but not starkness.

The Zencharoku (Zen Tea Record, 1828)
suggests that wabi simplicity
is also a philosophical way of coping with life:
It states:
"Even amid insufficiency, one is moved by no feeling of want.
Even when faced with failure, one does not brood over injustice."

Ikebana flower arrangement by Baiko
portrays simplicity.

In western philosophy,
the best laws of nature combine both simplicity and strength.

Thus, I declare the Right to Simplicity.

Simple is humble. A simple person has less worries and finds solutions to problems fast. a simple house could be more elegant then something cluttered with fancy stuff. a beach chair in sitting in white sand facing clear calm waters is the most relaxing form of simplicity.

I agree with Carlos. When one lives a simple life there's no reason to worry and stress over situations. Creating a much better lifestyle. Simplicity is so beautiful because your eyes are not distracted by so many things, such as the Ikebana flower arrangement. You can take in the beauty of the leaf and rose.

Winnie the Pooh is an example of simplicity. He doesn't over think things, he goes by whatever's around him and he's happy all the time. Simplicity is the key to a peaceful life.

Given the right to be simple, means one is given the right to live with less stress. We have the option to keep things to it's simplest form and enjoy the small things around us.

The right to simplicity is an excellent one. I find that when incorporated into your life, it can help with all sorts of improvements. Weather it is in problem solving to style or fashion.

SIMPLICITY IS ONE OF THE KEYS TO A GREAT LIFE. I THINK THAT IN THE SIMPLE THINGS ABOUT LIFE IS WHERE YOU FIND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ONES. THE MORE SIMPLE, THE BETTER. INSTEAD OF LOOKING FOR EXAGGERATIONS AND THINGS OVERDONE, I THINK THAT IF IS SIMPLE BUT PRECISE, IT COULD BE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING. THEREFORE, AS A GOOD EXAMPLE I THINK ABOUT A ROSE, IS SOMETHING SO SIMPLE, BUT IT EXPRESS SO MUCH. I DECLARE THE RIGHT TO SIMPLICITY.

If this Right could be applied to the hectic and stressful everyday life of the average person, life wouldn't be so hectic and stressful.MCL

Simplicity is beauty. Living the simple life with no stress, where the days just coast on by without a worry in the world. Sounds great, only if it were possible. C.M.A.

There is a certain beauty in simplicity, like C.M.A. pointed out. Everything has an essential function. Simplicity also opens the door to multiple interpretations, as is the case with modern art. Everyone can interpret it and enjoy it in their own way.

Henry David Thoreau wrote: "Our life is frittered away by detail. Simplify, simplify, simplify!" Perhaps, by embracing simplicity in our lives, we can clear away the clutter and complexity to better see what is truly important.

We have become a consumer society concerned solely on the collection of material things. It is important to go back to the basics, free ourselves from clutter and choose what is essential to us. Only then will we be able to really appreciate the beauty of life.

Simplicity maybe the path the world may want to proceed in the future. The world today is nothing but simple. One of the greatest philosophers in the world once said, “What is wrong with man is that we need to go back to nature and the way life was once, simple and pure.” By: LJBR

Some of the most simple things are some of the most beautiful things. As many have said, less is more. Leonardo da Vinci once wrote: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."

Most of the public figures that are generally "simple", turn out to be the most popular and loved by the public eye. Simplicity is a way of being, most of the times, taught to you while growing up. I agree with the right of Simplicity.

Simplicity is a way of life. Some with a simple life is someone with a balance life. Simplicity had a natural beauty to it. A simple life doesn’t have unnecessary complications. For example, someone with natural brown hair can be beautiful without any dying necessary. You can have someone who is a natural brunette try to be a platinum blond with tons of makeup look to complex and unbalance. Simple equal beauty and peace.

The most beautiful things can be simple. Not everything has to be over the top, you can accomplish a lot with just a little bit. Being natural can be healthy, for you, your skin and your body. The simplest of things can bring greatness in the future, I am for the right to simplicity. G.A.

It's extravagent how in the simplist forms of life one notices the romantic works of an extravagent being. For out of the abundance of my soul I must express that in the simplist works that our Creator has signed, its in the simplest ones that we acknowledge His love and his masterful creation.

I took a trip not too long ago to Key Largo, Florida. I sat by the water with my friends, ate food, and told horrible stories. All of our basic needs were taken care of. We didn't need fancy cars or clothes. We didn't need night clubs, or pristine restaurants. We were having the time of our lives doing nothing and enjoying the simple pleasures that nature had to offer. I wish that I could give everyone in the world the same experience that I had. Fully embracing the right to simplicity enhances your life by ten fold.

Some people take simple things as boring things. I think simplicity as classy. I think simple things can sometimes be the prettiest things.

A common misconception is that simplicity is convenience. To me simpliclity is only the foundation of great ideas (not everything that time brings with it). Technology is the most obvious culprit behind the decrease in simplicity. Now everyone seems to want to eat foods that have not been processed and live a "green" life. So you see the world is steadily going back to where it started in a not so simple way.

In this exaggerating world we live today we have lost sight and forgotten in the beauty of simplicity. What happened to expressing your love with a simple kiss or a heartfelt love letter? Today for example people measure love by the price tag of a gift or expensive dinner. People need to enjoy and live their lives with simplicity.

Simplicity is beauty. Simplicity is found within everything. From color on a canvas, to the ivory silk on a wedding dress. Grace Kelly was simplistic, and classy.

I am all for the right to simplicity. We all should stop for a second every day and enjoy the simple beauty of nature. Our lives have become so busy that we sometimes forget how fortunate we are to be surrounded by so many beautiful things. Have you ever stop to look at a flower closely? If you haven’t, please do it today and notice the simple perfection of its colors and lines. D.C.R

Living a peaceful simple life is what every single person in the world we live in right now, looks forward to for the future so that when they grow old this right is what everyone would argue for. There are some rights that can be argued, this is a right that simply put can not be argued for only because no one wants to live a hard life for the rest of their lives. People live hard lives now to work for a simple life in the future, think about it. - J.J.V.

"In character, in manner, in style, the supreme excellence is simplicity" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. These words, from the famous American poet of the 19th century, best describes the importance of simplicity in the person of a human being. To me, simplicity signifies sophistication, refinement and gracefulness.

Simplicity is realizing the least important thing being the most important aspect in your life. Simplicity helps us cope with the simple things in life instead of looking for the most unique. With simplicity we appreciate more with out stress and realize the beauty in the smallest, simple thing. -ABL

Simplicity is a virtue that in my opinion you are born with it and in some rare cases we can learn by one of life’s teaching. With this being said we know that is not a choice because it comes with the personality of the person and it cannot be imitated. O.V.

Simplicity is the state of being simple, uncomplicated or uncompounded. It is the condition of being easy to understand or do. Have you ever read an instruction manual and wondered that there must be an easier way to do what the person writing the manual was trying to explain? Why make things so complicated? Leonardo da Vinci once said, “ Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” I interpret this quote as less is more. Eliminate the excess and leave things simple.
