The Right to Liberty... Vacation

Without vacation,
health risks go up,
families miss time and memories together,
and
everyone works more time of their life.
Less children visit nature.
Burnout happens.
More heart attacks.
Less sleep.
Lives are shortened.
Without vacation.

When you decide to spend your vacation far away from any tourist attractions at a place is something vital physically and mentally. You feel like you are going away from the stress of everyday life. You fill with enthusiasm as you load the car and make your way to the airport. I take pleasure in vacation because it is a valuable time that you will never forget.

I am a strong believer in taking vacations to clear the mind and relax. My family and I try to take a vacation at least once a year to another state or even country. But not going too far, a vacation can be anywhere. I also think that vacations should not include any sort of technology (computers, cell phones, etc.). Perhaps that is why health risks go up without vacation. -v.p.

Vacation is a huge must! without it, I think we would go insane. Vacation is a time to relax, a time to get away from all the people who drive you insane at work and, Its a time to spend quality time with your families because lets be honest here, we spend more time at work than we do with our family.

I just got back from vacation and I completely agree with this post. When you leave your daily routine to go and spend time with family or friends far from home it clears your mind. Vacations let you leave all your worries behind and as stated above it reduces health risks.

Vacation to me means laying back and forgetting about all my problems with work, family, and bills. We all need a time to relax and have it all for our needs. We also need the time to bond with the family and forget about the children texting over their limits, what we have to cook for dinner, what test we have for school. This all means vacation, and we all have the right to have a stress free vacation.

Vacation to me is very valuable. It is a time for me to unwind and appreciate the beautiful things that nature has to offer us. For a little while, I get to forget about all the stressful things that are going on in my life. Unfortunately, not many of us can afford a vacation outside of home but it can be something as simple as driving to the beach everyday or going to have lunch or simply, let’s see what life brings us today. Going on vacation can be hard at times, because of work and other responsibility but I believe that it is a right that everyone should have, even if it is only for a couple of days. The difference a couple of days of unwinding can do to the human body is incredible. You feel no tension, your mind is not constantly going, you are not worried, and you simply take it day by day. Vacation is definitely needed to be kept sane and in control of one’s life.

How ironic, I just got back from The Bahamas and it was well worth it. It is important to take vacation because is like recharging one’s soul. No job should restrict people to take a vacation, at least once a year. In fact my wife and I just purchased a timeshare vacation package with home base at The Bahamas just to take advantage of the awesome deals that the program offers. After taking a vacation one feels ready to continue the monotonous routine of work and school. GIL RO

I think everone has the right to go on vacation. I think a vacation is needed for anyone because its a time to go ahead and relax, to get away from the city, and enjoy friends and families company. I can't wait to go on my vacation in July.

Vacations are extremely necessary, not only for the soul but for health reasons too. For this reason I agree with the post and I believe that more vacations should be given in order to improve the quality of life and productivity of every person.

Vacation is important because it is time for one to relax, relieve stress and a time to spend with the family. Without vacation or rest, our stress levels will rise and health issues will arise. Therefore, we all should have the right to get vacation time. EA

Vacation is an outlet from your every day stress. My best childhood memories come from my family vacations. Because we live in such a fast past environment it is nice to spend time with family building new memories. The memories are what help me get through bad days. The right to vacation is the right to sit back and appreciate all the hard work you put into your every day life.

I can never disagree with this right. I believe everyone deserves a right to have a vacation. A break from everyday life. Vacations not only relax you, have health benefits, but also bring families together. I am 100% for vacations.

As a child there was not a lot of money to go overseas, but as long as I can remember vacations were taken just going to the country areas where there were beaches and lots of trees. Houses were few and miles apart. One does not have to cross the ocean to go on a vacation. There are so many places right around us that we don't know. With stress levels the way they are, we definitely need a right to vacation.

We need this right. A good vacation can help us to reconnect with ourselves. Spending time enjoying life with loved ones can keep relationships strong, helping us enjoy the good times more and helping our-self through the stress of hard times. It also increased quality of life, and that can lead to increased quality of work on the job.

The right to vacation is a needed right. A change of pace/scenery can do a world of good. Vacations should free your mind from the worries of the day and allow time with people, activities, and places that you enjoy. Corporate culture should take care to not infringe on vacation time because working on vacation defeats the purpose. Real vacations help you to refocus and be more productive when you return to work.

I wish I took more vacations. They are important for your health and for your family. It is a way to disconnect from the every day and recharge and a way to reconnect with your family or friends. To get your bearings straight or perhaps to put a situation into perspective. LP

We should all have the right to as many vacations as we desire. Period! As long as you do your job, are responsible, stay on track, you should be rewarded with rest. To spend time with your families, to rest your mind, etc. -- NB

I always try to take my vacations to places where
you can learn history and rest at the same time.
Taking into consideration that you can find a good
place to stay and enjoy your time off.

I have always said stress is not a tangible thing we can touch but it causes us so much damage. I am a firm believer in vacations quite frequently through out the year. One should remove themselves from the everyday stressors of life quite often for physical and mental rest.

I personally love vacationing, and for me has been a bit tough to adapt to the "American Dream" which involves; work, work and more work. I have seen people burnout for not taking time off work and school.

Nowadays, people are not taking vacations because they can not afford it or the job does not allow them to go. Let me tell you, I look forward to vacations. In my family, we have made vacation a must at least once a year for about two weeks even if we can not afford it. E.S.

I wasn;'t aware that there were studies to prove that going away on vacation promotes good health. It does make sense though. It obviously is not healthy for one physically or mentally to be constantly stressed. Getting away and leaving your problems and stresses back home is something that everyone needs from time to time.

To begin with, humans take vacations to get way from thier stressful lives. Vacations allows us to remember who we are as people outside from work and school. Taking a vaction benefits us in many different ways.

I need my vacation, everyone should. It is very true that health risks go up when we do not have vacation. There was a time when I studied so much for one class that I burned myself out. I started shaking that week because I had studied over 35 hours with no breaks. This was poof to me that we all need a vacation.

believe that vacation relieves stress and gives people happiness. Without a vacation, there is no fun, no relief, no anything. We work too hard and when we do not give ourselves a break, we can shut down. The right to vacation should be given to everyone. When were on vacation we bond more with our families and it is something fun to enjoy together. Personally I cannot wait to go on vacation because you see a different world besides your own. Everyone should explore and make memories to keep forever. Vacation is good for our health, soul, and for our environment.

I really value my vacation time. I spend my vacation time with my family every year at our annual family reunion. My appreciation for vacation time came with age and experience. Everyone should have the right to a vacation.

The right to vacation should be made a law. We all need to get that quality time to spend with loved ones. Even if its for a short weekend vacation, the idea of disconnecting from your daily routine will take any stress away. I love vacation time. We need more time added to this right.

I totally agree with the right to vacation. During vacations, family members build bonds and memories that can last a lifetime. It is also important to take time off from our routine to help us recharge our energy and improve our health. GS

Even though we sometimes don't think about it vacations help our health in more than one way. We all have the right to vacation, it's just that sometimes people don't think that is that much of an importance. Families grow stronger and memories are created that children will remember throughout their life.

The Right to Vacation states proven facts that (HRV) rates are found lower in forest areas rather than in the city where heart rates are higher. Vacation is a great thing and, a huge must to keeping sanity. Without vacation I believe we would all go insane and, our lives would be much worst. Our lives will end up with a lot of stress, work, problems etc. Over all vacation is required if we all want to have a great life and stay yourself, and calm.

Everyone desires at least a week of relaxation without being preoccupied with work overload. I enjoy spending time with my family, but work and school sometimes gets the most attention. Other families might not be able to find some time during their busy schedule to even take a stroll through the park. And because taking a vacation has health benefits everyone should be provided a couple of days off work.

Vacation is the key to sanity in the work world. If you work and work hard, I believe you should be entitled to vacations.

I wish and pray that I will be able to take my family on a great vacation. It's not finding time for a vacation, it's finding the funds. I don't think there is any argument with the right to vacation, but you may want to specify it with the word affordable.

According to a research study, “more than one-third (39 percent) of US workers report they feel more productive and better about their jobs upon returning from vacation, and 52 percent say they feel rested, rejuvenated and reconnected to their personal lives.” The right to vacation would go hand in hand with the right to rest and recover from our daily lives hectic schedules. We should all be able to relax and get away from the reality of our crazy lifestyles. This in turn psychologically can make us more productive people in society with our families, co-workers, friends and those whom we meet on a daily basis. This may be the reason for many to have broken families, broken relationships and bad experiences with people in our daily routines. We all need a break to make us better people.

Everyone deserves the right to vacation. You don’t need to travel halfway across the world or spend thousands of dollars to vacation. An outing with the family or some quality time can be considered too. Vacation is for relaxing, enjoyment, fun and a break from the demands of everyday hassle. – D.T

If there is one right that I couldn't agree with more, it's definitely this one. Teachers as well as employers expect students and employees to be workaholics all the time. We should have a universal time period, or at least a national one, in which all electronics are banned and we have a vacation from everything. --Rosa F.

Vacation is a necessity in our society today. I agree with Lachinita520, you don't need to travel or spend tons of cash. Just stay home and relax and walk around your neighborhood. Without vacation we would be in terrible health, as stated above of this page.
